The movement backplate is authentically stamped with the manufacturer name, Made in West Germany, and model numbers 70 and 241-030, along with the measurement 85 cm / 70.77. The cabinet is constructed from multi-tonal wood with a rustic, natural finish that highlights the visible grain and knots. The hood houses a circular clock face with applied brass-toned Arabic numerals and ornate filigreed hands. The trunk features a long glass door with a large, frosted etched iris floral design. The base includes a solid wooden door with a decorative diamond-shaped relief carving that opens to a storage compartment. The entire piece is supported by four dark-stained barley-twist legs ending in bun feet. The clock includes a wooden rod pendulum with a brass-toned bob and two cylindrical brass-toned weights with hanging chains.
