Hand-painted ceramic pitcher is produced in the Spanish Talavera tradition, as indicated by the geographic inscription. The vessel is constructed of glazed earthenware with underglaze decoration in a palette of cobalt blue and charcoal grey. Tag on bottom indicates circa 1880. Pitcher measures 8 1/2 inches tall. Does have slight chipping around edge of mouth.
