mid-1990s promotional director’s chair produced for the Smokin’ Joe’s Racing NASCAR sponsorship campaign by Camel Cigarettes. The chair features a folding hardwood frame with an X-base design, integrated armrests, and metal hardware. The seat and backrest are constructed from printed canvas fabric. The purple canvas backrest is screen-printed with yellow block lettering. The canvas seat features a multi-colored graphic illustration of the Joe Camel mascot wearing a leather jacket and sunglasses with a cigarette. In the background, the number 23 Smokin’ Joe’s Racing Ford Thunderbird is depicted on a racetrack. The backrest is detachable from the wooden uprights.
