This lot consists of two decorative rugs manufactured in Peru from 100 percent alpaca fur. Each piece features an intricate inlaid design created by joining different naturally colored fur sections. One rug depicts a polar bear in profile, rendered in white fur against a background of chocolate brown, tan, and spotted cream fur, finished with a white fur border. The second rug illustrates a large bird of prey in flight, utilizing shades of brown, tan, and white to define the wings and head, framed by a wide tan fur border. Both items feature a white fabric backing. A blue ink stamp on the reverse of at least one rug reads: FUR SURE, 100% Alpaca Fur, Made in Peru, and C.C.J.
